The idea for the Benta Floor flexible sports floor was conceived in 2014, when the Benta Sports Club was given the opportunity to build a stand-alone judo gym. The various technologies available in gyms at the time did not meet our needs. Either they were too hard and did not adequately cushion the falls from throws, or they were too soft and therefore only allowed slower movements.
After a long search and the creation of several test surfaces, we found the right material and design for judo and any other martial art. After covering the platform with tatami or a mat appropriate to the sport, the design perfectly absorbs the force of the impact, while keeping the execution of the movements fast and dynamic. Another major advantage of the resilient sports floor is its long-lasting use, which has completely eliminated ligament, muscle and joint injuries that are common during training.
- In the spring of 2014, we made the first 120 square metre podium in the gym of the Benta Sports Club.
- In the winter of 2017, World and European Judo Champion Ákos Braun asked us to build a mini gym in his house under construction.
- In February 2018, Dávid Hangyási, son of master coach László Hangyási, built a separate training room in Hódmezővásárhely on 100 square metres, where the technology we use was installed. View HERE.
- In the spring of 2018, the Miklós Ungvári Judo Centre in Cegléd was built on 600 square metres. View HERE.
- In the summer of 2019, we received the next order from Mórahalom, where we built a 260 square meter podium in the Molnár Franciska Judo Hall. Due to the COVID -19 virus, the sport developments were also stopped for a while. The next project was the MTK Lantos Mihály Sports Centre. View HERE.
- In the summer of 2022, we built a 540 square metre podium for the Olympic bronze medalist Tóth Krisztián’s team. View HERE.
- In the summer of 2023, we will build a 550 sqm judo podium at the Hangyási László Regional Judo Centre in Paks. And in the basement of the complex in the autumn, another 85 sqm podium will be built. View HERE.
- In December 2023, we replaced 110 square metres of the podium of the Bezerédi István Elementary School in Paks, built more than 40 years ago. We believe that the 2500 square metres of podium we have built so far are a good reference and we will soon be able to welcome you as one of our customers.
"The special podium designed by Benta Floor makes everyday life truly “uke” friendly for today's young judo enthusiasts. It not only makes them love the throws, it also makes them love the falls. Its flexibility is a great help not only in judo, but also in the acrobatic exercises that judo leads to. On behalf of myself and the Cegléd judo team, thank you for your help!"
